The Fort - Mens A Division Playoffs

On Wednesday i played the first of a best of 3 game series in the first round of the playoffs. My team finished in first place so we had the liberty of playing the last place Sharks. Only 5 guys showed up to play for my team probably because it was thanksgiving eve and everyone went out. Even with only 5 guys my team still managed to win the game 2-1. It was a touogh game to comew away with a victory in but we did it and now have a 1-0 series lead. This puts all the presure on them to win game 2 or else they will be eliminated and my team will move on to the finals.

Jets vs. Titans Week 12

Yesterday the Jets played the undefeated Titans. The Titans were 10-0 and the Jets 7-3 going into the game both first in their divisions, but the Jets were a six point underdog. The Jets won the game big to the surprise of many. They dominated the Titans and won 34-13. This was a huge win because the Jets are now the team to beat because they the only team to beat the Titans this season. The Jets are now 8-3 and still lead their division with only five games remaining in the season. The Jets play the Broncos next week who are 6-5 and also in first place in their division. This is a big game for the Broncos so they should play hard and put up good competition but the Jets are an 8 point favorite so another win is projected but anything could happen. LETS GO JETS!!!

Intramural Football Championship

Yesterday we played the playoffs of the St. Johns intramural football league. My team finished the season in first place again and only lost one game the entire season by one point on the last play of the game. We had to play two games yesterday, if we won the first game we would play for the championship in the second game. We dominated the Dragons in the first game 34-0. We then had to wait for the winner of the Warrior vs. Tropic Thunder game to see who would play us for the championship. The Warriors won and we played the in the finals. We controlled the game from the start as we had an 18-0 lead at halftime. The final score was 18-6 and we won the championship for the second consecutive year. I have never lost in this intramural league and i plan on winning the championship every year.

The President Elect

Barack Obama is going to become our 44th President of the United States. This is the first time in history an African-American has become President. I personally don't like the fact that Obama won the election. Although I didn't like either candidate going into the election I would have preferred John McCain to win. I don't like Obama because he is a socialist and socialism has never been successful in all of history. Although I don't like Obama I hope he has a successful presidency because he is the leader of the country we live in like it or not. Thing thing I find most interesting about the election is that people can bet on it as if it was a sport. Obama was the underdog and this time the underdog won.

The Fort - Mens A Division First Place Game

Last night I played a big first place game in the Mens A Division at Fort Hamilton. We played the Rampage who were two points ahead of us before the game began. We needed to win the game to take first place from them because although we would be tied in points, my team wins the tiebreaker. The game got off to a quick start as we scored in the first two minutes. We became relentless and didn't let them back into the game from then on. The final score was 6-2. I scored two goals and got two assists to help my team take first place with only one game remaining in the season. Those goals cost me because on the second one i flew into the net and slammed my knee very hard and painfully. Im hoping the swelling in my knee goes down by next week because we need a win to end the season in first place so we can play the last place team in the first round of the playoffs.

The Fort - Mens A Division

The regular season of the Mens A division has almost come to an end. My team is in second place with two games remaining but we play the first place team tonight. With a win in tonights game we will be in a dead tie for first with only one game left to play. I haven't made every game for this team which is why I believe we're not in first place already. Tonights game is a big one and i hope to come out victorious.
